
Guest Information & Booking Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between Work Rest Stay (“we”, “us”, “our”) and you (“the guest”, “your party”).
By confirming a booking, whether directly or through Travelnest, Airbnb, Booking.com or any other partner platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Booking details
🧾 Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed once payment is received and written confirmation is issued by us or our booking partner.
👤 Lead Guest
The lead guest must be 21 years or older and is responsible for all members of the booking party and compliance with these Terms.
🛏️ Occupancy
Fat Panda accommodates up to 2 adults and 1 child (using the sofa bed), unless otherwise agreed in writing.
💳 Payments
For bookings made via Travelnest or partner platforms, all payments are processed securely by Travelnest, acting as our authorised agent. For direct bookings through workreststay.com, payments are processed through a secure online gateway (e.g. Stripe or equivalent) at the time of booking unless agreed otherwise in writing.
🔐 Security Deposit (if applicable)
A refundable £50 deposit may be required to cover damage, loss, or excessive cleaning. If taken, it will be returned within 7 days of check-out, provided no deductions are necessary.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
📅 Direct Bookings
Cancellations made 30 days or more before arrival will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable unless the dates are successfully re-booked.
🌍 Third-Party Bookings
Cancellations made through platforms such as Travelnest, Airbnb, or Booking.com are governed by the cancellation policy of the platform used.
💷 Refunds
Any approved refunds are processed within 7 days via the original payment method.
3. Property Rules
⏰ Check-in / Check-out
Check-in is from 3:00 PM.
Check-out is by 10:00 AM.
Late departures may incur a £20 fee unless pre-arranged.
🤍 Conduct
Smoking, parties, and events are not permitted.
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM.
🐾 Pets
Pets are accepted by prior agreement only and must not be left unattended at any time.
🚶 Access
Access to Fat Panda is via a floating pontoon walkway, which may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
4. Safety & Liability
🛟 Safety Equipment
Life jackets, smoke alarms, and a fire extinguisher are provided.
Guests should familiarise themselves with their locations and use them responsibly.
👶 Children
Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times, particularly near water, on the deck, and during boarding or disembarkation. The sofa bed may be used for one child.
⚓ Assumed Risk
Fat Panda is a floating vessel. Guests are expected to take care when boarding, disembarking, and moving around the deck or marina.
⚖️ Liability
Work Rest Stay is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal property except where caused by proven negligence.
5. Unforeseen Events
We cannot accept liability or issue refunds for cancellations arising from events beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to: flooding, severe weather, power outages, mechanical failure, or government restrictions.
6. Marina Access & Facilities
⚓ Marina Rules
Guests must observe all Thames & Kennet Marina rules and regulations.
📶 Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is provided by the marina and is subject to availability. Speed and connectivity are not guaranteed.
🚗 Parking
On-site parking is available for registered guests.
7. Privacy & Data Protection
We collect only the personal information necessary to process your booking and meet legal requirements. Your data is shared only with legitimate booking partners or where required by law and is handled in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
